Darts, golf, game week and much more

Hi and welcome back, or if this is your first visit; where have you been?

We would love you to check out everything that has been happening at The Joiners Arms in Hunwick recently, so here is a little run down.

On the 4th of August we held our annual golf day, made all the more poigniant due to the sad loss of our regular, nay resdient golf afficionado Rick Keegans. You can find out all about the results of that day on the New Hunwickian Weblog page by clicking your mouse on the menu bar to the top left of any page on this site.

GAME WEEK

On the 9th to the 13th of September we are holding a game week. No not darts, dominoes etc, more like Venison, Wild Boar and Grouse. We have sourced a new supplier of game, Durham Venison and Game. During that weeks worth of food you can delight yourself in locally sourced game dishes but do not despair if the sound of spatchock pigeon doesn't light your fire, there will be other dishes on the menu.

Why not sign up for darts? Our break up night is on the 17th of August and our AGM will be held on the 24th; all in prepartion of the new season starting on the 7th of September. we don't bite so come along and introduce yourself or if you have played with us in the past, come back for more!

Keep an eye open

We are hoping to commence a regular quiz night on Sunday evenings, possibly starting after the leek and garden show in September, so look out for that.

furthermore we want to let you know that Spice Night will be returning soon...... and as Ian said "We will be travelling the Orient gastronomically...". In other words there will be a selection of subcontinental meals on offer, not just Indian, Bangladeshi, or Sri Lankan but more....
